About This Place

Located in the heart of Nürnberg at Luitpoldstraße 16, LêBar is a vibrant Indian restaurant that brilliantly fuses traditional flavors with contemporary twists, making it a standout destination for both casual diners and food enthusiasts seeking authentic yet innovative Indian cuisine.

Step inside LêBar and you’re immediately embraced by cozy, urban vibes that create the perfect backdrop for evening catch-ups or intimate dinners. The atmosphere balances liveliness and warmth, ensuring guests feel comfortable while savoring each dish. However, a note from past visitors mentions that the music can sometimes rise in volume, adding a spirited energy for some while requiring a bit more effort for conversation at larger tables.

The menu at LêBar is a vibrant tapestry of Indian classics and creative fusion dishes. Must-try highlights include the Flying Tandoori – a tender, smoky chicken infused with deep, aromatic spices that practically melts in your mouth, and the Chicken Tikka Masala, which boasts perfectly cooked, succulent chicken in a richly spiced, creamy sauce that delivers comforting warmth with every bite. The Bollywood Tacos offer a playful twist, blending Indian flavors into the beloved taco format, praised by many for their bold and addictive taste.

Vegetarian options shine as well at LêBar. The Vegetarian Manchurian is reputed to be one of the best outside India, offering crispy, savory vegetable balls drenched in a flavorful sauce that is both tangy and slightly spicy—a true crowd-pleaser. Other dishes like Pani Puri and Samosa deliver the satisfying crunch and zest that transport your palate straight to the streets of India.

The drinks menu is equally compelling, featuring handcrafted cocktails such as the refreshing Virgin Mojito 2, the ever-popular Long Island Ice Tea, and creative concoctions like the Mango Tango. These beverages perfectly complement the food, enhancing the overall dining experience with their unique blends and fresh flavors.

Service at LêBar consistently receives praise for being attentive and friendly, with staff members who are proactive and eager to ensure guests have a memorable visit. Whether you’re indulging in the rich, buttery goodness of the Lamb Biryani, savoring the spicy punch of the Chole Bhature, or enjoying a cold, crisp beer, the experience feels thoughtfully curated and welcoming.

The few critiques center around minor inconsistencies, such as dessert items like the Gulab Jamun which some found slightly lacking compared to the rest of the menu’s brilliance. Still, this hardly detracts from the overall impression of LêBar as a dynamic, exciting place to enjoy expertly prepared Indian cuisine with a modern flair.

In essence, LêBar is more than just a restaurant—it’s a flavorful journey through India’s rich culinary landscape, set within a stylish and inviting space that invites you to linger, savor, and share. Whether you are a devotee of traditional Indian dishes or eager to explore innovative creations, LêBar promises an authentic, satisfying, and truly enjoyable dining experience in Nürnberg.

We visited yesterday for dinner. This is a well done place with cozy vibes perfect for evening catch ups and dinners. Food and cocktails definitely stands out. We ordered the bollywood taco, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan and gulabjaam with icecream. Apart from the gulabjaam, every thing was top notch. Chicken tikka is must order along with the taco. Highly recommended. May be the gulabjaam were frozen for long before serving. If they can fix this, it will be great. Staff was welcoming and attentive. They contribute to the amazing experience.

I tried a variety of dishes and everything was amazing. Highly recommend the Flying Tandoori chicken. The Butter Masala dip was amazing. Starter-Pani puri and Dessert-Kulfi were delicious.

Went with a bigger party. Food was mostly really good except for a couple things our friends had. Tacos were fire can't complain about the service, they were very attentive and polite. The biggest minus was probably that the music was very loud, we literally had to yell to talk to our friends sitting across the table. But all in all it's a really cute place!

Fantastic urban food options and I must say their preparations are well in competition with the rest so called Indian restaurants in town. The service is good and the team is quite proactive and energetic. I must say the cocktails are also really different but delicious. I am gonna be a regular here... Must try- Vegetarian Manchurian it is the best you can find outside of India!!!!

Visited Le Bar in Nuremberg to see if the food could match the authentic flavors we’re used to in India—and it did not disappoint. We ordered dal makhni, tandoori chicken tikka, and garlic naan. The dal makhni was excellent, with authentic texture and rich, well-balanced flavors. The chicken tikka was nicely cooked and flavorful—milder than what you’d typically get in India, but still very enjoyable. Traditionally it’s served with green chutney, but here it came with a sweet tomato-based chutney, which was different yet worked well. Both dishes were served with butter naan that was perfectly crispy, and we also ordered a side of garlic naan, which was absolutely delicious. Service was fast and attentive, adding to the overall experience. A must-visit spot if you’re traveling and craving good Indian food in Nuremberg.

My favorite Indian restaurant in Nuremberg with authentic food. I really like the Manchurian, the Butter Chicken and the Naan bread; but everything else I have tried was good too. The restaurant is nicely decorated with plants but I don't like that the music is always so loud.

Last minute change of plans is how we ended up here. Awesome location In the old city of Nürnberg this modern Indian Urban food restaurant offers excellent service, and large menu, great portions and phenomenal food. We ate on the terrace and enjoyed the lovely city going on around us. If you like Indian cuisine this is a must visit restaurant.
